TPS-Tube

TP Tube are active loudspeakers developed to bring the sound of a big speaker into a small enclosure. The goal was to make a speaker that physicly would not dominate the livingroom. TP Tube puts astick through the notion of sub/sat systems as the only solution to big sound from discrete speakers. As is often the case with design loudspeakers, they have been designed with looks as the first priority. Even though we have set out with the sound as are main priority we feel that the design is also quite succesful. To obtain the goals we had set, we have used digital technology. Our engineers, which have developed the TP Tube speakers. Has a background in profesional audio. Danmarks Radio (Danish Broadcasting Corporation) is among those that have had the pleasure of their developments. The Hifi-magazines has praised both the sound quality and the looks of these speakers. Scandinavian magazine High Fidelity wrote: There will be those that buy them solely for their design, that’s just another feather in the cap for the designers. But the good sound comes for free. (issue 03/05)

Active Loudness TP Tube uses a unique teknolgy for the in-built active loudness. Other manufacturers uses a simple “singel- or dualband” with a fixed rise, independent of listening volume. TP Tube speakers uses a more subtle and acousticly natural method. Which dynamicly changes the rise in level dependent of frequency and sound level. The levels are based on the Fletcher-Munson curves.

Auto-leveling Input TP Tube speakers can be used with any adjustable audio source (from line level to speaker level) the first time the speaker is connected or when reset. The ” Auto-leveling Input” will adjust the input level to accept any input from line level to 200 Watt of output. If desired the input can also be adjusted with the enclosed KEY-CD.

DSP Cross over frequencies, Active loudness, equalizer and limiter functions are implemented in a 24 bit Digital Signal Processor. The DSP perfects the use of the high efficiency power amplifiers used in TP Tube Active loudspeakers.

Amplifiers TP Tube speakers has a high efficiency power amplifier for each driver. In TP Tube 500 four PWM amplifiers 100W each for the mid/woofers and a DMOS amplifier of 100W for the tweeter. In TP Tube 160 the amplifiers are limited at a maximum of 80W. Both models has a built in limiter that protects the drivers from being overloaded.

Anti theft system ”SoundDeny” is TP Tubes patented Anti theft system that ensures that noone but the rightful owner has any enjoyment of the TP Tube speakers. “SoundDeny” works like this: Whenever the TP Tube speakers has been unpowered for half an hour or more. Internal digital circuits locks the speakers. They will stay locked until the unique KEY-CD is played back to unlock the “soundDeny” system. The enclosed KEY-CD can be played back in any ordinary CD or DVD player to unlock the speakers, note this will only work when KEY-CD and speaker has the same serial number. We recommend that the KEY_CD is kept in a secure place or disguised as an ordinary CD among all Your other CD’s. Should the rightful owner misplace or render the KEY-CD useless. TP Tube can supply a copy provided that proof of purchase and serial number is given.

Makes the speakers look even more exclusive. Optionally the speakers can be delivered with feet of matt black aluminium. Inside the slim aluminium enclosures is a DSP circuit that compensates for the rather small enclosure in colaboration with the five 100 watt power amplifiers.(one for each driver).

TPS Floor standing loudspeaker, gray powder metallic (excluding stand) Vare nr.: TP500/G
The grey powder metallic finish is the alternativ to the chrome version. Which might not fit all interiors. In many homes the powder metallic version is more subtle. And is easier to blend with the rest of the house. Another advantage of the grey version, it is less sensitiv to little childrens fingers etc. Here it is shown with a matt black aluminium foot that has a felt covered underside to protect wooden flooring. Optionally it can be delivered with a granite foot. Inside the slim aluminium enclosures is a DSP circuit that compensates for the rather small enclosure in colaboration with the five 100 watt power amplifiers.(one for each driver).
