Pizza Dough-Give a man a fish and he'll eat today, teach him to make pizza dough, and he'll never call Domino's again.
Dissolve 1 packet dry yeast in 1 cup warm water (100 F) with 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup in it. Wait for it to foam (5 minutes), add to 1/4 cup olive oil, tablespoon of salt, 1 cup all-purpose flour in food processor with plastic blade in it. Take it for a short spin. Wait 5. Add 2.5 more cups flour- 3 if you want thick crust. Spin till a ball forms. On a floured surface, punch it down. Put it in oiled glass bowl covered with towel in draft free place (microwave? NO HEAT!) for 30 minutes. Take it out, punch it down again, put it back in for 90 minutes. Preheat regular oven to 400 F. Form circle with dough, roll out dough, put on oiled cookie sheet, top with your choice. Cook for 20-30 minutes. When crust brown cut, eat.
Cost? Depending on your choice of toppings- $3 basic - $9 if you have an impossibly heavy hand on the cheese and meats. Try olive oil, mozzarella, roasted garlic, anchovies, and onions. Drain canned tomatos before use. Most sauces are a little too liquid on pizza, strain or drain.
